How to host your own match
One of the things that makes this server special: you can host matches from your own PC, right from the launcher. There’s no separate server to download and nothing to configure — create a room and your machine runs it.
How it works
When you press PLAY, the launcher quietly starts a small host helper in the background. Create a room in the lobby and that helper spins up the match on your PC automatically. Everyone who joins connects through the server’s relay, so your home network stays simple — you don’t need to open ports or set up port forwarding, and players behind carrier-grade NAT (very common on Philippine mobile and home internet) can still join your room.
What you need to host
- A Windows PC that runs the game smoothly. Your machine runs the match in the background while you play, so give it a little headroom.
- A stable internet connection with decent upload. Everyone’s match traffic flows through your connection, so upload matters more than download. A wired connection is strongly preferred; if you must use Wi-Fi, stay close to the router. As a rough guide, aim for at least a few Mbps of reliable upload for a full room — the more players, the more upload you’ll use.
- The launcher open while you host. It manages the host helper and shuts it down cleanly when the game closes. Don’t close it mid-match.
- The firewall and antivirus prompts allowed. The first time you host, Windows may ask to allow the launcher and its helper through the firewall. Say yes — the match can’t start if they’re blocked.
While you’re hosting
- Keep the launcher and the match window open for the whole round.
- If the host leaves, the match ends. You’re running the room, so quitting or closing the game ends it for everyone and sends players back to the lobby. There’s no host migration, so stick around until the match is over.
Troubleshooting
- The room never starts. Close and reopen the launcher, then try again. Make sure you allowed the launcher (and its helper) through your firewall and antivirus — a blocked helper is the most common cause.
- Players lag or the match feels rough. Host on a wired connection and close anything using your upload — downloads, uploads, streaming, cloud backups. A busy connection is felt by everyone in your room.
- Still stuck? In the launcher, click Copy diagnostics and share the output with us in the community Discord — we’ll help you sort it out.
Happy hosting.
